We aimed to determine the most suitable moment within the desired time frame for the event. As discussed with ECF, we wanted to schedule the event alongside another one that could create synergy in terms of visitor attraction, exposure, press coverage, and other benefits. Therefore, we propose dates that coincide with the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs, a large camping exhibition and conference with over 40,000 visitors, 200 exhibitors, DMO’s, tour operators, and suppliers of recreational cycling and bicycle camping products and services.

The proposed dates align with the current schedule of Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs. During this period, Jaarbeurs will also host Dutch Cycling Week, a platform event that includes various cycling-related B-to-C and B-to-B activities, a conference, and other events, extending over a much longer period than a single week. Organizing the event earlier within the requested timeframe also offers the advantage that the trees are still green, enhancing the experience for the technical visits.
